- at/atq/atrm/batch/atrun are disabled by default. To turn them on read this thread on macosx.com. Of course, this uses a root crontab entry, and cron is slowly being deprecated in favour of launchd. At needs to be rebased so that it works on top of launchd. Why is at important? Well, just for ordinary use, it's very useful as a "GTD power chop" or whatever: got a whole bunch of files that need to be downloaded off the web? Queue 'em up with atq. I use it with growlnotify so that when I get on the train, I can remind myself about ten minutes before I get to my destination to not forget to get my coat and bag off the luggage rack.
