Hastings College is having their 2009 exhibition. But they haven't actually put any useful information up on thier website (and what information they do provide is in teeny grey text on a white background hidden inside an image - very pretty, but completely unusable). I thought I'd put this up here mostly for the benefit of the designers/creatives in Brighton who might want to see the work being done there. Despite the administrative fail of the website, there are some smart and talented students doing great design and imaginative art. (Okay, I am saying that partly 'cos my mum is exhibiting her final year fine art work).

The work being shown is by students on:

(An FdA is a Foundation Degree in Arts - it's equivalent to the first two years of a degree.)

The exhibition is open Saturday June 27 10am-2pm, Monday June 29 10am-6pm and Tuesday June 30 10am-5pm.

The work is being shown at two locations:

The easiest way to get to St. Leonards is by train - the college is about 10-15 minutes walk from St. Leonard's Warrior Square station. There are services from St. Leonard's Warrior Square going to London (traintimes - approx. 100m from Charing Cross), Eastbourne (traintimes - approx 25m) and Brighton (traintimes - approx. 1h). The college is also quite close to West St. Leonards station (WLD).

Warning: the walk from the station to the college isn't far, but it's quite hilly. If you don't like walking up quite steep inclines, get a cab. There's on-street parking near the college too, but be warned: there are some thieves operating in that area, so don't leave fancy, expensive shit lying around in your car.
